Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of OwlWatt (the "Service"). OwlWatt is currently operated by its founder as a sole proprietorship in Massachusetts, USA; this may change to a corporate entity in the future, and we will update these Terms accordingly. By creating an account or installing the OwlWatt collector software, you agree to these Terms.

1. What we do

OwlWatt monitors solar production from your local Enphase gateway, helps you compare it against your installer's promises, and produces audit-style reports. We are not a solar installer, electrician, utility, or financial advisor.

2. Your data

You own your solar production telemetry, contracts, and bills. We process them on your behalf to provide the Service. See our Privacy Policy for details on retention, sharing, and deletion.

3. Acceptable use

• Don't reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the Service.
• Don't upload someone else's contract or telemetry without authorization.
• Don't try to compromise other customers' accounts or our infrastructure.

4. Beta status

The Service is currently in preview. Features, pricing, and availability may change. Reports and savings estimates are informational and not legal, financial, or engineering advice.

5. Cancellation & account deletion

You can request account deletion from Settings → Privacy at any time. Your data is purged 30 days after the request unless you cancel.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind. We disclaim all implied warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the greater of (a) what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose or (b) US$50.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms; we'll notify you by email when we do. Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance.
