Solar Monitoring Plans Compared
Short answer: These plans answer different questions. Otovo Care and Enphase Care pay for or discount repairs. SunStrong Connect Premium adds monitoring detail. Omnidian sells performance assurance, mostly through installers and financiers. OwlWatt checks whether your system meets the production figure in your installer's contract and keeps the record. A broken part points you to a repair plan. A contract promise points you to an audit.
Searching for "solar monitoring plan" returns repair memberships, vendor apps, and performance-assurance services side by side, priced differently and sold for different jobs. The table lines them up on the same eight questions.

Prices are the ones each company lists publicly. Enphase Care is quoted per system, so $399 per year is the starting figure Enphase publishes, not a flat rate. Otovo's $99 activation fee appears on its Texas repair page. We did not find the fee on its main pricing page, so it may differ by state. Details on Enphase Care are in Enphase Care Cost.
The job each plan does
Otovo Care is a repair membership with monitoring attached. The three tiers differ in how fast a technician arrives after you approve a visit (48, 24 or 12 hours). Repairs are discounted by 10% and otherwise billed to you. Otovo's pricing page says the membership complements an installer warranty rather than replacing it.
Enphase Care covers labor on Enphase hardware and handles panel warranty paperwork with the panel manufacturer. It monitors the equipment and does not compare output to a contract.
Omnidian describes itself as a performance assurance provider and states that it covers a shortfall when a system generates less than 95% of its projected energy forecast. The forecast is Omnidian's own, and the homepage is aimed at asset owners and financiers. We could not read a homeowner plan or price on omnidian.com.
SunStrong Connect Premium is a monitoring subscription in the SunStrong Connect app. Premium adds history, monthly reports, and a panel-level view on systems with micro-converters. Lease customers receive the premium features at no cost, according to the same page.
OwlWatt compares actual production with a weather-adjusted expected value, tracks the result by contract year against the guaranteed figure, and produces a claim report. It keeps that record outside your installer's and your equipment vendor's systems, and it repairs nothing.
When a repair membership is the right buy, and when an audit is
A repair membership fits a system with no one left to call, because the installer closed or the workmanship warranty ended and a failed part would otherwise cost a truck roll. An independent audit fits a system with a live production guarantee and an installer who still has to honor it, because the contract's remedy depends on evidence of what the system produced against what it was guaranteed. A repair plan gets the part replaced, and an independent record shows how much output was lost while it was down. Which you need follows from whether you have a live guarantee and whether anyone is left to call about a repair.
What we could not confirm
Omnidian's residential plan, price, and sign-up terms are not published where we could read them. Otovo's $99 activation fee is confirmed for Texas only. SunStrong's support page lists no sign-up fee or repair service, but a company can offer terms that its support page does not mention. Plans change, so check each company's current page before you buy.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is a solar repair membership the same as a production guarantee?
No. A repair membership pays for or discounts fixing equipment. A production guarantee is a contract term in which the installer promises a minimum amount of electricity over a period, with a remedy if the system falls short. Check your contract for which one you hold.
Can I use OwlWatt together with Otovo Care or Enphase Care?
Yes. The repair plan restores the equipment. OwlWatt records how much the system produced against its expected output during the outage, which matters if your installer's production guarantee is still in force.
Does OwlWatt repair or dispatch technicians?
No. OwlWatt monitors production, tracks guarantee performance, and produces a claim report. It does not repair equipment.
Check your system against its guarantee
OwlWatt compares your real production with a weather-adjusted expected value every day and keeps the record outside your installer's systems.
